Welcome

     As a Republican candidate for the Arizona State House of Representatives from Legislative District 26, I hope to

serve the people of southern Arizona as a “Traditional Republican".  That is by being fiscally responsible in

streamlining government by cutting wasteful spending, redundant programs, and providing tax relief for our citizens.

Our future and quality of life are important to me; and as your representative, I plan to uphold Republican principles

and bring a "common sense" approach to this office.

     I was born and raised in North Dakota, attended North Dakota State University, and worked in government research

and later as a medical technician.  I married an Air Force officer and spent the next 26 years supporting him in his

military career.  We raised 2 sons; one is a graduate of the University of Arizona and the other will graduate from

Arizona State University this year.  Most of the last 35 years have been spent doing volunteer work, for my church,

as a Sunday school teacher, a youth leader, and service project organizer.  I've supported the Boy Scouts of America

as a den mother and advancement chairman for 15 years.  I've been active in the education system as a classroom aide

and math tutor.  Being a civic volunteer as an elected precinct and state committeeman has given me the opportunity to

 become more knowledgeable of the issues that affect all of us.  All of this collective service has made me acutely

aware of how much good government can do when it functions well, and how much harm it can do when it functions

poorly or attempts to play too great a role in our lives.

     Like Ronald Reagan, I believe in the American Dream.  I believe that by holding fast to Republican values and

principles of capitalism and entrepreneurship, everyone can be successful through hard work and personal initiative.
